Hello

I always thought I’d be married with kids by 23, maybe 24 if I was really out here taking my time. That was the plan. But life had other ideas—and honestly, everything happened the way it was supposed it and in perfect order.

Instead of settling down early, I spent my twenties living, learning, and leveling up. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Howard University, studied abroad, and built a career as an event producer—first in the entertainment industry, then in big tech. I was checking boxes I hadn’t even known were on the list.

​

Then the pandemic hit, and like so many others, I was laid off. Plot twist: that detour led me to the love of my life. We got married, and in my 30s, I became a mom to the most beautiful little girl. Was it a decade later than I originally planned? Yep. But was it right on time? Absolutely.

​

Pregnancy wasn’t easy for me, and delivery was downright traumatic. I nearly lost my life bringing my daughter into the world—and in the months that followed, I found myself constantly thinking, “Wait, why didn’t anyone tell me this?” I mean, seriously. There should be a manual, or at least a group chat.

​

That’s what sparked this blog. Motherhood is different for everyone, and that’s part of what makes it so powerful. But I truly believe there’s a wealth of wisdom out there just waiting to be shared—stories, tips, hacks, and truths that could make the journey smoother if they just reached the right ears at the right time. Because let’s be real: life be lifing sometimes.

So here I am, creating a space for all my fellow mamas. A place where we can share what we know, support one another, and maybe even laugh through the chaos. Being a mother is my passion, and being able to connect, uplift, and learn with this community? It’s one of the greatest honors of my life.
