  • The Best Memberships | Heyyliv

HOT & NEW BABY TODDLER MOMMY MEMBERSHIPS TRAVEL All Time Favorites: Memberships Lifetime Fitness - Nationwide Lifetime has made getting my workout in SO much easier. Daycare is in the building y'all! Their kids' academy is a total game-changer with engaging classes, crafts, and active play so I can actually enjoy a workout, massage, or a game of pickleball. There are indoor and outdoor pools with splash pads that make it feel like a mini vacation for the littles. Plus, the family events, including a 'Parent's Night Out', has made this membership a marriage saver, a business boomer, and a self care staple! Learn More COSI (Center of Science and Industry) - Columbus, OH We could not get enough of COSI! It’s basically a science playground for little ones and it seems like the opportunities for exploration are endless! The Little Kidspace area is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, with water tables, pretend play zones, and interactive exhibits that keep them entertained for hours. I love how everything is designed to be touched and explored, so I don’t have to stress about saying “no” every two seconds. It’s educational, fun, and fully worth the membership if you’re in Ohio. Learn More National Children's Museum - Washington, DC The National Children’s Museum is a dream come true for curious kiddos and exhausted parents alike! It combines STEM learning with imaginative play, so your child can explore everything from space travel to art installations—all in one visit. I love that it’s educational without feeling stuffy, and everything is sized just right for tiny hands. It's indoors, clean, and packed with energy-burning fun, making it a lifesaver on rainy or chilly days. Learn More Tampa Zoo - Tampa, FL ZooTampa is one of those magical places where both kids and grown-ups have a blast. The habitats are so thoughtfully designed, and there's an adorable toddler play zone with shaded areas, and an out of this world splash pad that's perfect on a hot Florida day. We love the behind-the-scenes encounters and the fact that everything is super walkable, even with a stroller. It’s also incredibly family-focused with plenty of spots to stop, snack, and nurse or rest if needed. Did I mention the zoo has rides too? Yeah, fun on top of fun here. Trust me, get the membership. It's well worth the cost and you'll definitely want to go back. Learn More The Florida Aquarium - Tampa, FL We had the best time at The Florida Aquarium—it’s air-conditioned, stroller-friendly, and packed with colorful marine life that kept my little one completely captivated. The splash pad has closed but they've replaced it with an outdoor play area that’s perfect for burning off energy after checking out the exhibits. We even got to hang out with Spider Man while we were there. :) I especially appreciate how the aquarium is designed for all ages, with sensory-friendly features and lots of hands-on activities for curious little minds. It’s a solid go-to when we need something fun, engaging, and indoors! Learn More

  • Mommy Must Haves | Heyyliv

HOT & NEW BABY TODDLER MOMMY MEMBERSHIPS TRAVEL All Time Favorites: Mommy Must Haves Smarty Pants Multi Plus Omegas Prenatal Vitamins I took these beginning at 3 months pre-pregnancy all the way through my breastfeeding journey and outside of the normal fatigue associated with pregnancy, breastfeeding, and raising a new baby, I've been spared many unfortunate physical postpartum woes. One thing I can especially call out is my hair is longer and stronger than ever! SHOP Frida Mom Perineal Instant Ice Maxi Pad Skip the DIY padsicles and just buy these. The pad sickles get stuck together and they don't stay cold long. These are super convenient and definitely worth the money, meaning they do their job. I used them for 4-5 days after I got home from the hospital which was roughly 4-8 days postpartum. I bought 3 boxes and ended up with a few left over. I think I only used 1 out of the third box. I didn't use these while in the hospital because the nurses dressed me every day except the last day with all the things the hospital provided. The hospital supplies were sufficient while there, but these were great while at home. SHOP Witch Hazel Soak a few cotton rounds in this and throw them onto your ice pad, or regular pad, and trust me, your lady parts will thank you. Rose water might seem like a bit much but it's super hydrating and your sensitive skin will love it! Also, when you're feeling really icky down there, the sweet scent of roses makes you feel just a little better about yourself. SHOP Cotton Rounds I soaked these cotton pads in witch hazel and used them to clean my stitches, (I tore pretty bad), every time I used the restroom, and to lay on my ice maxi pad the first week postpartum. I ended up loving using them to clean down these after using the restroom and kept that as a habit. Using witch hazel to clean, especially the rose water one, leaves you feeling good and smelling well, like a bouquet of roses. SHOP Legendairy Milk Pump Princess Supplement I don't eat a ton and I'm very active. These two facts combined with breastfeeding meant I was burning calories WAY faster than I could put them back in. Unfortunately this caused my supply to dip occasionally. Insert these little magic pills and boom! Thirty minutes to one hour later I was pumping an additional 2-3 ounces again! I did have to be intentional about taking them with food and drinking a lot of water, but even with this I was amazed at how well they worked! SHOP Munchkin Milkmakers Lactation Cookie Bites My late night guilty pleasure! These cookies are so good! I was having trouble keeping weight on while breastfeeding and every nursing session left me extremely hungry! These were the perfect snack to satisfy my sweet tooth, give me a few quick calories, and milk production boost! Yes, I could definitely notice the boost in milk production the next time I nursed. They work! SHOP Pink Stork Postpartum Uplift Tea Evenflo introduced SensorySoothe™, a groundbreaking feature integrated into the handle of their latest premium standalone car seats and travel systems. This app-connected technology provides customizable lights, sounds, and songs designed to soothe and entertain infants during travel. Parents can control SensorySoothe via the Evenflo app, voice commands, or on-unit buttons. SHOP FridaMom Disposable Underwear I used these with a menstrual pad for the first 3 weeks postpartum and they made life so easy! When I needed to freshen up I just threw the old pair away and put on a new pair with a new pad. I didn't have to worry about washing a garment, or any contamination. Also, they're super comfy and when I was having a hot flash I would rip off the pajamas and wear them like shorts. SHOP 100% Cotton Pajamas If you're like me, you may live in these things for the first few days postpartum, so I'd recommend getting a few pairs. One thing no one mentioned to me about the immediate postpartum period was the HOT FLASHES! The dramatic estrogen drop that happens immediately post partum makes it feel like you're going through an accelerated menopause. I'm into natural fabrics and 100% cotton aligns with the natural frequency of the human body at around 100hz. Cotton also breathes really well and you'll definitely want to make yourself as comfortable as possible during this period because there's so much going on. Any and every added piece of comfort is extremely valuable. SHOP Colace I tore in multiple place, had a ton of stitches, and other complication after giving birth. Needless to say, I was in a crap ton of pain for a WHILE. I remember calling a friend crying at 8 weeks postpartum because of the pain and... to be honest... sheer despair and trauma of it all. I only took the prescribed opioid for the first 5 days postpartum, and when I came home I was relying solely on acetaminophen and ibuprofen. Taking them together seemed to work the best, however taking so many painkillers for so long left me very backed up and dealing with a different kind of pain. Colace was my hero, and to be honest, I think I had to double up on that too to get things moving. SHOP FridaMom Peri Bottle Whether you get this in a kit or buy it separately, just make sure you get it. The hospital will send you home with a bottle to rinse with but this upside down design makes life so much easier when you're already in a ton of pain. Pro Tip: Fill the bottle with warm water before you rinse. Avoid cold water if possible. Just trust me on this one. SHOP Acetaminophen & Ibuprofen Just go ahead and stock up on this now. If you give birth at a hospital they will most likely send you home with pain killers but you won't want to run out of them and have to deal with the pain, and/or be bothered with purchasing more. SHOP Nursing Bra 4-Pack I began buying these while I was pregnant and ended up wearing them exclusively around month 5 because of the weight gain. They are super comfy and convenient and honestly, I have no complaints. I've been wearing them almost exclusively not at a little over a year postpartum and they make breastfeeding so easy! There aren't any clips or buttons to fuddle with. You just pop a boob out, and then pop it back in. Simple as pie. SHOP
